Behavior Technician – Children with Autism (Full/Part-Time)
Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and patient Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with autistic children under 5 years of age at our center. The ideal candidate will implement behavior intervention plans and provide direct support to help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Provide one-on-one support to autistic children under 5
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately
- Assist in teaching communication, social, and play skills
- Support positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collaborate with therapy team and communicate with families
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in working with autistic children
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed behavior plans
- Willingness to learn ABA techniques
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Physical ability to engage actively with young children
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Hours and Compensation
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Paid training provided – we will train you to sit for your RBT exam
- Center-based position with consistent schedule
Prior experience working with autistic children is beneficial but not required. This is an ideal entry level position for candidates looking to enter the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
